The StEP OUT trial from Northwell Health has completed enrolment of 49 pregnant Hispanic/Latinx women in a telehealth-delivered obesity prevention programme targeting the first 1,000 days of life. The intervention development study uses human-centred design to optimise feasibility and acceptability before a future efficacy trial. Clinicians working in maternal health, paediatrics, and health equity should watch for forthcoming results.
