The E-VICTORS trial is evaluating a multi-node cardiovascular telehealth platform connecting Wake Forest University specialists with rural EMS, emergency department, and community clinic teams in Wilkes County, North Carolina. With 215 participants enrolled and completion expected in August 2025, the study aims to determine whether real-time specialist support can reduce ED utilisation and improve care pathways for rural patients presenting with suspected acute coronary syndrome. Results are anticipated to have broad implications for rural cardiovascular care delivery in the US and comparable international settings.
