·clinical-trialsA new European proof-of-concept trial is testing whether a smartwatch and mobile app, combined with clinical and genetic data, can power an AI model to stratify Parkinson's disease risk in individuals with prodromal markers such as REM sleep behaviour disorder, neurogenic orthostatic hypotension, and hyposmia. Sponsored by Queen Mary University of London and enrolling 60 participants across the UK, France, and Spain, the AI-PRA study targets the critical pre-motor window where disease-modifying intervention may one day be possible.
