Sanofi has opened a large-scale pharmacoepidemiologic study across 533,000 US patient records to validate whether ICD-10-CM diagnostic codes in the TriNetX EHR network can reliably identify chlamydial infections. The findings will directly underpin the data infrastructure for a future Chlamydia trachomatis mRNA vaccine program — a potentially landmark advance in STI prevention.
