A new pilot trial from the University of Pennsylvania is developing and testing a smartphone-based Just-in-Time Adaptive Intervention targeting reward sensitivity and anhedonia in adolescents aged 13–17 with recent suicidal ideation. The study, recruiting 20 participants in the Philadelphia area, aims to establish acceptability and usability of the app before a larger efficacy trial. Clinicians working in youth mental health should monitor this emerging digital therapeutic approach.
