A landmark 1,000-patient registry study at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is recruiting patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Becker muscular dystrophy, and dystrophin gene carriers to map the natural history of dystrophin-associated cardiomyopathy using advanced cardiac MRI and deep learning analysis. The study aims to develop a globally accessible risk prediction toolkit and validate CMR-derived surrogate endpoints for future therapeutic trials, addressing one of the most critical unmet needs in neuromuscular medicine.
