The IPIAM trial is investigating whether patient-active telemonitoring using a connected smartwatch and digital health platform can improve CPAP adherence in adults with newly diagnosed OSA and significant cardiovascular co-morbidity. With 556 participants enrolled in France, the study targets a high-risk, low-sleepiness population where conventional CPAP initiation frequently fails. Results expected in 2026 could reshape digital health integration in sleep medicine practice.
