A completed Turkish single-centre study has developed a deep learning model to predict tumour stage and survival in NSCLC patients using preoperative PET-CT and chest CT imaging, without requiring histopathological confirmation at the time of prediction. Enrolling 156 surgically resected patients at Ondokuz Mayis University Hospital, the study represents an important early step toward AI-assisted preoperative staging in thoracic oncology. Results are anticipated by mid-2026.
