A new prospective study at Corewell Health South is evaluating whether the Eko Sensora AI-powered digital stethoscope can improve detection of clinically significant heart murmurs in emergency department patients presenting with chest pain, dyspnoea, or syncope. With valvular heart disease frequently missed in high-acuity settings, this trial could reshape how cardiac auscultation is integrated into emergency workflows. Enrolment is open for 300 adult participants, with results expected by mid-2027.
